This does not "suck"
Ah vampire humor... gotta love it.

I have soaked up the HBO True Blood series via Netfliks and I call it good.

After working my way through the Twilight series I have come to realize I LIKE vampires to have weaknesses, not merely sparkle in the sun.

And a female protagonist who DOES things rather than things happening to her was a welcome change.

Did you catch True Blood? If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts...

what you say you like in vampires and heroines sounds a lot like the Buffy show! you should check it out if you havent yet!

I have not seen the series, but have read all but one of the books. Love the Sookie Series. However, if you want a great female protaganist, read the Anita Blake series by Laurel K Hamilton.

I personally hated Twilight. I thought the storyline was weak and the vampires were a joke. I want my vampires to be vampires - strong, violent when the need comes, and sexy as hell - not sparkly.
